Ride or Die

    hi and assalamualaikum
    "Ride or Die"
that is one of the popular saying in the movie that i want to share today.
today i would like to share bout the latest movie currently in the cinema.
    Fast Furious 6.
i rate this movie 9/10.
so awesome especially for those who follow the sequel from 1 - 6.

(Fast Furious 6 poster,  source : google)

so basically this movie about car, fighting, crime and family value.
here the spoiler a little bit. (hehe)
the movie start with the continuity scene from previous sequel where all the car racer criminal character live happily and calmly after last crime that they do and retired.
suddenly the top national security officer play by Dwayne Johnson come and request for their help to catch a world class criminal that steal national security item to attack the country.
the reason this car criminal lead by Dominic toretto (Vin Diesel) helping the officer because his wife that he thought has died seems to be still alive and involve in the world criminal group.
so the plot begin where they chase each other and at the same time Dominic realize that his wife, Letty still alive but lost her memory due to accident during Fast Furious 4.
so in the end they catch and kill the criminal, Letty get back to Dominic, and they save the world with their driving and fighting skill that so awesome.

but beside the movie plot, i am more interested to the cars that they use in the movie.
lots of supercar from Ferrari to Old skoll or Muscle car.

(car been used by Letty, source : Google)

beside the plot and car, the soundtrack for the movie also nice and i love it.
so back from watching it, as usual, google it and download the soundtrack.

(we own it, source : youtube)

so this movie use high technology of GUI or graphic technology where i can't see any flaws in the movie.
compared to our Movie industry where KRU seems to be the leader in this so called graphic technology movie, they seems to far away behind.
we can find lots of flaws in their movie such as Cicakman 1&2 and even the Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa.
maybe they still have lots to learn and improve in order to be at par with other international producer.

p/s : this movie never disappointing me since the 1st movie.

NGV car system

   hi and assalamualaikum.
today i would like to share to you regarding not so new technology for automotive.
due to the increase in price of fuel or petrol nowadays, it has force the people to find the
   alternative for that.
previously it been heard that some researcher found that the palm oil or cooking oil can be the new fuel alternative in the future, but the project seems to be silence.
and after that there was one technology that invented in the market called "NGV".
this alternative fuel technology been popularized by taxi user where it claimed to be cost saving.
and nowadays this NGV has been used widely by most of car owner.
my family also installed this NGV system into 3 of our car consist of 2 Proton Perdana and 1 Perodua kancil.

but what is this NGV actually?
how the system work in reducing the fuel cost?
according to www.suprongv.com:

"NGV stands for 'Natural Gas For Vehicles', also known as Compressed natural gas (CNG), is an alternative fuel that is suitable for automotive use"

this NGV basically replace the usage of Petroleum as the main fuel or power source for engine.
it use Compressed natural gas (CNG) instead of Petrol.
according to www.wikipedia.org:

"CNG is made by compressing natural gas (which is mainly composed of methane, CH4), to less than 1% of the volume it occupies at standard atmospheric pressure. It is stored and distributed in hard containers at a pressure of 200–248 bar (2,900–3,600 psi), usually in cylindrical or spherical shapes."

this NGV system still using the same engine and parts, but it will add up several component into the fuel system.
there will be a cylinder tank that will be place usually at the back of the car.
the cylinder is high pressure one and it act as the tank for the CNG.
the tank will be connected with the NGV system at the front of the vehicle which is at the engine bay.

(source; www.google.com)

this NGV system consist of:
  • Tank - to hold the compressed natural gas in the car
  • Kit - which includes the Regulator ( the heart of the NGV system), the high pressure tube, the electrical, petrol solenoid, Emulator, clips, screws and other accessories
  • Gas mixer - which eventually mixes the air and the NGV gas.

NGV is supported by the government with incentives and legislation to encourage vehicles owner to use NGV such as:
  • NGV price is only 68 cent/litre equivalent of petrol, is cheaper than other fuels.
  • NGV conversion kits are exempted from import duty and sales tax.
  • Reduction of road tax from existing levels:
    • Monogas vehicle (NGV only) - 50% off
    • Bi-fuel vehicle (Petrol & NGV) - 25% off
    • Dual-fuel vehicle (Diesel & NGV) - 25% off
with such incentive and support, no wonder the number of car user that switch to NGV system keep increasing and one of them is me.

in my experience on using this NGV system for almost a year,
i could say that this has save me lots of money.
as a student, money seems to be the critical factor and it is too limited for me to just waste it on fuel/petrol.
buy using NGV system, i can drive from my home at Malacca to Shah Alam for just RM9 and usually there still balance of gas in the tank.
and it cost me also around RM9 to use the car within Shah Alam for a week.
try to imagine if i use petrol insted of CNG?
i have tried it before by using petrol, it will cost me around RM30 from Malacca to Shah Alam.
and for weekly use within Shah Alam, it will cost me full tank which is around RM80.
and my weekly pocket money just RM100.
surely the pocket money will be fully use for fuel cost.

the system also easy to use, there is no technical thing that need to be know by the user.
once the system been installed, the user just need to fill up the tank and use it.
there is no special button or special command.

but of course the cost for installation not cheap.
the price usually depend on the size of tank.
the bigger the tank, the higher the price.
for my Proton perdana, i use 60litre tank and it cost me RM4900 to install the whole system.
of course the installation cost quite high, but try to view it for the long term usage.
and it can be fill up to RM10 of CNG gas and average milage around 160-170km for a full tank.
this CNG only provided by Petronas Malaysia and now most of state have at least one station that provide this CNG pump.

p/s : cost of CNG is low but the cost for Toll more than my full tank NGV.

Modern Ape

    Hi and assalamualaikum.
This is my first time posting using blogger mobile apps for android via Galaxy S4.
    Quite nice and provide mobility.
But thats not this entry all about.
Today i would like to share to you regarding monkey and technology.
Quite weird right but the 'monkey' here is not the one which is animal.
Monkey here is the surveymonkey.com which is one of the well known online survey tool.

So for my ABR research group, we use this system or software in distributing our questionnaire.
Yeah it cost us around RM50 for the lowest package, but it offer us lots of benefits.
Instead of distributing the questionnaire in hard copy manner, this surveymonkey.com help us by just distributing the survey online and this can reduce the usage of paper thus may save the nature.
Beside that, this tools help us to collect data in a short time despite of the geographical barriers.
By distributing the survey all across the entire internet network,we can reach our respondent despite of their location.
This save us lots of time and transportation cost.
This surveymonkey.com also give the respondent flexability to answer the survey.
Since the survey conducted online,it give the respondent option to complete the survey wherever and whenever they are without disturbing their activity.
Last but not least, this system provide a overview of the result. The system will automatically will notify the user on several simple finding such as number of completed survey, trend of the survey and graph on the trend.
This may give the researcher some overview on the potential result or finding from the survey.
If i get the chances to continue my study in Phd, i surely will use this surveymonkey as one of the tools in collecting my data.
I just need to sacrifice little amount of money for greater benefits.

P/s : my dear friend who's still not answering the survey, you still can help us by answering the survey at my facebook page.

L- Commerce - GPS

    hi and assalamualaikum.
today i would like to share with you about another one element in MIS750 which iS
    L-Commerce.
and again i will explain it based on my own experiences so that it will be applied.

ok, first of all, before this, i have been explain about E-commerce.
so, what does it means by L-commerce for this time?
does it relate to our life?
once again, mr. wikipedia comes handy.
according to www.wikipedia.org :

"L-commerce is the practice of using technologies which provide location information, such as GPS, for business purposes such as location-based services."

so basically, it related to location based activity.
so today i would like to share with you L-commerce software or system which is GPS.
what is GPS?how to use it?
according to www.wikipedia.org,

"The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a space-based satellite navigation system that provides location and time information in all weather conditions, anywhere on or near the Earth where there is an unobstructed line of sight to four or more GPS satellites. "

so, this GPS devices or software mostly been used as navigation tools to replace old-fashioned map.
this GPS can be seen whether in shape of the devices it self or software that been installed in smartphone.
so for me, i experienced in using this GPS software that been installed in my smartphone.

(example on how GPS works, source : www.google.com)

there are several brand of GPS devices or software such as Papago, Sygic, and Garmin.
and i have been experienced in using all of these GPS brand which been installed in my smartphone.
and what i can say that this GPS system help me a lot when it comes to navigation.

(papago navigator, source : www.google.com)

(sygic navigator, source : www.google.com)

(garmin navigator, source : www.google.com)

imagine that someone like me that used to live in not so urban area like Malacca and Johor.
and suddenly i need to live and stay at place like Kuala Lumpur where the road are really complex.
at Malacca, we dont have much elevated road and we even dont have such a complicated route.
we mostly have just one way road and it easy to understand.
but in Kuala Lumpur, sometimes there are 3 level of elevated road/highway.
and each level bring us into different place.
and i usually enter a wrong route since it is too confusing.

but with GPS, probability for me to enter wrong route has been minimize.
GPS software that been installed will guide me and recommend the route whether i set it to shortest distance, avoid highway or recommended route.

but negative side on using this GPS is that, since i relying on it too much, i tend not to use my brain. (hehehe)
even simple route i still can't memorize it.
for example, from my rent house at Seksyen 7 Shah Alam to Pusat Bandar Shah Alam.
i still use GPS to go there.
and that make even me to laugh on myself.

this GPS software that i been installed in my phone can be purchased at Google Playstore for android or Iphone appstore for Iphone.
but for geek like me, i used cracked apps that i get for free.
nowadays everything can be obtain for free. but of course it is not good for industry.
and nowadays most of the vehicle has been preinstalled with GPS system.
and believe me, it is useful all the time and save time.

p/s : wanna go to faculty sometimes i may use GPS since UiTM Shah alam area are too wide and complicated like a district (hehehehe)

e-commerce - mudah.my

    assalamualaikum and hi to all.
today i would like to share with you something related to MIS750 which is e-commerce.

nowadays most of the activity or businesses been done and held via internet or online basis.
what does it really mean by e-commerce actually?
    according to http://www.networksolutions.com :

"Electronic commerce or ecommerce is a term for any type of business, or commercial transaction, that involves the transfer of information across the Internet. It covers a range of different types of businesses, from consumer based retail sites, through auction or music sites, to business exchanges trading goods and services between corporations."

so basically it comprise of business activity that been held online.
from buying to selling.
this kind of business has been practice widely at west side of the globe but just been introduce in Malaysia.
there are several famous e commerce website or platform here in Malaysia such as Mudah.my and Lelong.com.
but i am more used to mudah.my thus today i will explain about e-commerce via mudah.my.

so what is mudah.my and what make it a well-known online market or e-commerce in Malaysia?
according to www.mudah.my webpage,

"Mudah.my is a brainchild of Mudah.my Sdn Bhd (formerly known as 701Search Sdn Bhd), a joint venture between Singapore Press Holdings Limited and Schibsted ASA. Singapore Press holdings Limited (SPH) is Southeast Asia's leading media organization with a stable of 17 newspaper titles in 4 languages; over 100 magazine titles and numerous online websites. SPH has also ventured into broadcasting, outdoor advertising and properties."

(mudah.my homepage)

(some of the categories of items that been place in the site)

since i can be consider as gadget mania, i keep change gadgets thus i need a place to buy and sell gadgets.
and believe me, mudah.my is one of the best platform to do business online.

here are some simple step in order to post an advertisement on the page :
1. open www.mudah.my on your browser.
2. click "post a free ad" and it will link you to the post ad page.
3. fill all the required personal information and also the item that you want to sell (picture also)
4. click submit and the page will require you to enter your password and after that you may post the adv.
5. mudah.my will send a verification mail to your email and after you click at the link given, mudah.my will process your application to post the advertisement and it usually take around 3 hour.
6. when your advertisement has been posted, mudah.my will send notification mail to you.

(you need to fill up all the required info)

simple is it?
and the most important thing that it cost you nothing.
just your time and internet access.
and when your advertisement published, it can be viewed all across the globe.

i have been using this mudah.my or e-commerce since pursuing my diploma.
and i found that it is so convenience and easy to use (plus free)
and i usually manage to sell my item withing 2 days (the shortest a day)

there are some advantages in using this e-commerce (referring to mudah.my)
1. reduce the geographical barrier by connecting buyer and seller all across the globe.
2. reduce the cost since it is free thus require only cost for internet and electricity (of course)
3. provide more alternatives since buyer can compare the price for a same item on the site.
4. easy to access since the site usually simple to understand and not complex.

but there are also some disadvantages in using such system.
1. potential of fraud since there are no physical shop thus seller (especially) can do fake business.
2. low security since the web offer free service thus the security seems to be a little bit low.

so since doing business online (e-commerce) has some pros and cons, there are some advises.
1. do cash on delivery (COD) especially for buyer to avoid fraud.
2. survey the market price of the item first before make a deal to avoid overprice.
3. ask opinion from member or relatives that has experience on the desire item.
4. if buyer or seller has been one of the victim to fraud transaction, please make a police report.

for me, this e-commerce has give lots of benefits especially when i need to sell my phone.
you try to imagine, if i sell the phone at mobile shop/mall, the shop will take my phone RM400 below market price or even higher.

for example when i want to sell my Iphone 5 previously, the market price i survey for 2nd hand Iphone 5 was around RM1800 to RM1900, and even at mudah.my people sell it around that price.
but when i asked the shop how much they will pay for my phone, the highest i can get was around RM1500 and even worse some shop offer me only RM1100. seriously for an Iphone 5?
so sorry, i understand that they doing business thus they allocate some profit margin.
but sometimes they are too much. want to gain high profit in the short term.

but usually i go to the shop just to survey the market price.
then i will know how much i can sell it at mudah.my.
and surprisingly i manage to sold my Iphone 5 RM1850 at mudah.my.
instead of selling it to the shop and get RM1500 the highest, i get extra RM350 by selling it through mudah.my  and it cost me nothing.
for me, this e-commerce thing give us buyer and seller win-win situation where seller can sell the item higher than shop buying price and buyer can buy the item slightly lower than shop selling price.

so, i definitely will use the e-commerce especially mudah.my in the future since it offer me lots of benefit.
and i hope in the future lots of feature will be integrate into the systems such as integrated payment by doing collaboration with maybank2u or CIMBclick and enhancement in term of security of the transaction.

p/s : will sell my Samsung Galaxy S4 when Iphone 6 or note 3 come out, so anybody? (hehehehehe)

Mobile computing - Samsung Galaxy S4 - Life Companion

(source : www.samsung.com)

assalamualaikum and Hi,
so by seeing the picture above, i guess you will know what i will posting bout today.
so, today i will share a little bit of experience using this latest model of Samsung model which is Galaxy S4.
as been explained in my previous entry, i can be categorized as gadget lover.
i love to try any affordable new devices in the market.
some say it is a stupid hobby, but to me, different people has different thing that they love to do.
some people love to change car rims, some people love to change shoe or even "Tudung".
so do they do something stupid?
no right? so let it be. hehehe

so, last week, on Wednesday, after taking a week of consideration to sell my Iphone 5 for this S4,
i have sell my Iphone 5 to some Singaporean guy staying at Kepong.
i advertise my phone using Mudah.my that maybe i will explain bout it in the next entry.
so on the following day which is Thursday, i went to Lowyatt Plaza located at KL to seek for this S4.
after doing some calculation and consideration, i choose to buy the phone at DIGI centre there.
using the Smartphone rebate (given by the government) and taking the contract, i manage to buy a white Samsung Galaxy S4 around RM1800 (market price Rm2199).
so that's it, and now i am using it for almost a week, and i think i want to give some review on it.

so basically, this latest model of Samsung Galaxy line phone has improved several thing internally and externally.
this phone in the S line which means that you cannot compare it with Galaxy Note 2 due to different product line.
so here is the specification of the phone based on Samsung.com,

(source : www.samsung.com)

so , basically, externally, the phone size fit well in my palm,
the design is quite simple as Galaxy S3 but the finishing is improve a lot.
i could say that S4 finishing on the side of the phone is similar with the Iphone 5.
internally, the phone battery quite good where i can use the phone for the whole day and just need to charge it before i sleep.
the camera been improved from 8 megapixel on S3 and note 2, to 13 megapixel.
and the quality of the picture taken is superb and i can say at par with Iphone 5 camera (since Iphone 5 camera seems to be better than Samsung in my opinion).
the speed of the phone slightly improve since the processor also been improved too.
means that, there is no lag, no hang and jammed on the android system that been integrated.
the interface of the system still maintain the original Samsung android Jellybean but with slightly modification to make it differ from other android Jellybean interface.

the main highlights on this model is the new technology that has been implemented in the phone which are "air-view" ,"air-gesture" and "smart-scrolling".

Using Air-view  users can hover their fingers over items such as photos and video to preview them without touching the device's screen.

for Air-gesture, users can scroll or do some function without need to really touch the phone.

(Air-gesture features, source : www.google.com)

The company is also rolling out "Smart Scroll," which allows you to scroll through content on the screen with your eyes and a twist of the wrist.
Smart Scroll, as its name implies, allows you to scroll up or down a Web page by simply moving your head up and down.

this kind of system or technology has bring the mobile phone industry a step higher than before.
this will be a starting point for more advanced and sophisticated technology in the future.
imagine if in the future, everything can be done virtually and every action that been done can be done without really touch it.

and so far, i can say that this new model of Samsung Galaxy seems provide me with everything that i need in a single mobile phone although the new features of "air" need to be improve to be more accurate.
i can do any task that others android smartphone can do such as view document, browsing, social networking, taking picture and video and so on plus this new "AIR" features that can be added value to this phone.
i really hope to see some new and advanced technology in the next model such as Note 3 or Iphone 6.

(the latest S4 air gesture and air view technology, source : youtube)

p/s : i need more money for this crazy habit and hobby.

Sunway Lagoon and RFID

    assalamualaikum and hi to all.
so today i want to share and explain a little bit about some  technology that i have been
    experienced last week.
ok, last weekend, on 11 May 2013, i got the chance to visits one of Malaysia biggest theme
park which is Sunway lagoon theme park.
this theme park located at Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

(source : Googlemaps)

so, i spent the whole day from 10a.m till 6p.m there and believe me, the park was so awesome.
but the thing is, i posting this not to explain bout the park, but more bout the technology or system that been use there especially on the ticketing or entry system.

(the largest waterslide in the world-vuvuzela (as been claimed by Sunway Lagoon)

so, the entry fee is RM120 for adult and RM90 for child (without Mykad), RM90 for adult and RM60 for child (with Mykad).
Sunway Lagoon is differ from other theme park that give you the ticket and you will receive regular waterproof paper wristband.
but for Sunway Lagoon, you will receive a watch-look wristband that you will wear like watch.

(Sunway Lagoon watch-look like wristband)

at first i just thought that this wristband just a wristband that act as ticket for me.
but i am wrong.
this watch-look wristband has some chip or system that installed inside it to enable the visitor to tap at certain receiver for certain thing.
for example, when i want to rent a locker to store my bag, i though i will receive the locker key,
but instead of using the key, visitor can use the wrist band to open the locker.
i just need to tap the wrist band to the receiver like touch n go, and the locker door will open.
awesome right?
instead of just give the visitor some wristband as the proof of payment, they make it multi-use.
and beside just using it for locker system use, i try to "Google" some other use of this wristband.
i found that, according to http://hazelleshoppe.blogspot.com, she said that,

"i like the e-wallet system that they have been implemented, whereby instead of a paper wristband, they now give you a watch (not real one) to wear on your wrist. you can load cash into it (digitally) and use that to purchase food and stuff"

so,  awesome right? instead just for locker use, the wristband also can act as e-wallet system.
so after back from the theme park  i keep thinking about the system that been use since i notice that at the wristband earlier, it has "RCG" letter there. so what was it actually?

(the RCG mark on the wristband)

and again i "Google" ing since this is the main source of student like me to know something (hehehe).
and i found out that,

"Sunway Lagoon has deployed an RFID-based payment system based on waterproof wristbands. RCG, a Hong Kong-based developer and systems integrator of RFID and biometric solutions for payments and security applications, developed and installed the payment system at the resort earlier this year. Upon arrival, visitors are issued RFID-enabled wristbands. As visitors enter Sunway's ticket office, they can select which level of access and amenities they'd prefer. For instance, a family might select to visit only the wildlife park, or both the wildlife and water theme parks, or they could choose an all-access pass to every part of the resort. Each visitor is issued a wristband embedded with a high-frequency RFID inlay containing a Mifare ISO 14443-compliant integrated circuit from NXP Semiconductors. Encoded to this inlay is an ID number, also stored in a central database. Associated with that identifier in the database is a list of resort areas the visitor has paid to access. To enter an area, a visitor holds the wristband within a few inches of an interrogator mounted on a turnstile at that particular entrance. The reader sends the tag ID to a central database, and if the visitor is authorized to enter, the turnstile opens. "

so now i remembered that i have seen and heard this RFID before in my MIS750 class.
so Sunway Lagoon also use this kind of technology to make their operation more efficient.
this system is like touch n go system where we touch the chip to the receiver to open or to launch something.
so what the meaning of RFID actually?
according to Wikipedia.org,

"Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is the wireless non-contact use of radio-frequency electromagnetic fields to transfer data, for the purposes of automatically identifying and tracking tags attached to objects."

so, this kind of technology make things more easy with just a single tap or touch.
this kind of technology or system will bring easiness and good if it can be implemented in the UiTM system.
especially for student purpose.
imagine, instead of signing attendance sheet, student just need to tap out their matrix card and the system will take the attendance or any transaction that been done.
it can save time, maybe cost in the long term and reduce any cheating or fraudent by the students.
right now, such system just can be seen at library where student just tap the matrix card to borrow the books
and maybe for staff, this system has been widely implemented.

so that's all for this post.
i will share more about any technology or IT and IS that i use later in the next post.
hope this kind of technology and other advanced technology can be implement here in Malaysia for a better nation. (chewaaaahhhh).
(the latest so called 'vuvuzela', the largest air vortex slide in the world, source : youtube)

p/s : Sunway lagoon is 10 times better than Genting Highland.

mobile computing software system - Android V.s IOS

Hi, and Assalamualaikum.
so, this seems to be 2nd post for this MIS750 blog.
the main reason for creating this blog is for MIS750 course requirement and the post and entry should at least contain 5 IT, IS or technology/system related info.

so today, i would like to share or write bout technology or system that really close with us.
system that we used daily or every moment nowadays which are mobile phone system.

so now, before we move further, first we must know the history of mobile phone development.
based on Wikipedia.org, Motorola was the 1st company that produce handheld mobile phone back at 1973.
the development of mobile phone technology continues till Nokia, the company from Finland produce their mobile phone and make the industry of mobile telecommunication become bigger and popular back in 1998 till late 2007 before the Apple penetrate the market and introduce their 1st phone called Iphone 2G.
this Iphone become a big hit from 2007 till now with their innovation of touch screen technology and IOS.
in the late 2007 also, Samsung penetrate the market with their touch screen and android system.
and nowadays, lots of mobile phone company has been emerge in the market but yet still Samsung and Apple remain to be the biggest competitor in the market.

(several of top mobile phone company)

so, today, i not going to explained bout the company, but more on the mobile phone system that been use nowadays which are "Android and IOS" based on my experience on using it.
the entry will be more on opinion rather than technical analysis bout the system.

me myself can be categorized as gadget mania where i love gadget so much and keep change it.
the shortest period i am using a devices is 2 day before i sell it for another devices and the longest is 5 month.
and lots of devices that i have been tried and used till now.
so today entry will be more on my experience.

so, the first system that i would like to explain is Apple IOS system.
ok, so what does it mean by IOS?
according to Wikipedia.org :

"iOS (previously iPhone OS) is a mobile operating system developed and distributed by Apple Inc. Originally released in 2007 for the iPhone and iPod Touch platforms, it has been extended to support other Apple devices such as the iPad and Apple TV. Unlike Microsoft's Windows Phone and Google's Android, Apple does not license iOS for installation on non-Apple hardware"

(my previous iphone 5 springboard - IOS6.1.2 jailbreak using evasion software)

so basically, IOS is mobile phone system that been create by Apple.inc for their mobile devices.
i start using Iphone since Iphone 2G, 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S and recently 5.
this means that i experienced in operate the IOS system since IOS version 3 till IOS version 6.
this IOS been name on their version.
for example, IOS version 3 has several update such as IOS 3.0, 3.0.1, 3.1 and so on.
so what i can tell bout this IOS system is that, it is simple but hard to use.
this system been created by Apple as close system and that mean that this system cant really cooperate with other company system or application freely.
imagine that, you own an Apple devices, the device has Bluetooth integrated but you can't Bluetooth with other devices freely. so basically the Bluetooth feature is pointless.
that's one of the drawback of the IOS system but of course there are also positive side bout this IOS.
for me, this IOS is smooth like hell, means that, no lag, no hang at all.
the system so fluid and simple. you don't need to go in application drawer to open the application.
everything are at the main desktop called springboard.
you just need to scroll left and right to reach your apps.
of course the close-system implement to IOS can be solve by jail-breaking the system. but it is illegal.
yet, nothing illegal for us gadget lover. hehehe
by jail-breaking the IOS, we IOS user can install cracked apps (paid apps for free), can install tweak apps to customize the system (enable Bluetooth to other devices) and so on.

so next i will explain bout android system that been popularized by Samsung.
so what is Android?
according to Wikipedia.org :

"Android is a Linux-based operating system designed primarily for touchscreen mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers. Initially developed by Android, Inc., which Google backed financially and later bought in 2005,Android was unveiled in 2007 along with the founding of the Open Handset Alliance: a consortium of hardware, software, and telecommunication companies devoted to advancing open standards for mobile devices. The first Android-powered phone was sold in October 2008."

(my latest Samsung Galaxy S4 running android 4.2.2 - jellybean)

so, for android, my first experience on using it was when i use the HTC Dream that comes with android 1.6.
different with IOS, android name their update and version using dessert name.
for example, android 1.5 (cupcake), 1.6 (donut), 2.0/2.1 (eclairs), 2.3 (gingerbread), 4.0 (ice cream sandwich) and recently 4.2 (jelly bean).
so i am experienced with donut, eclairs, gingerbread, ice cream sandwich and jelly bean.
as we can see, this android system is open and we can have it on LG, Samsung, Motorola, Alcatel and so more included china clone/imitate phone.
so this kind of open system has bring Android to be the largest and major market player in mobile phone operating system nowadays.
previously, i can be categorized as Apple fan boy where i love Apple product so much since the devices is high quality and luxury although the IOS is close to other apps.
but when i start use android especially Samsung galaxy line, i start to fall in love with android system.
Android system not so simple and smooth as IOS, but it offer me better option and user friendly.
with android, i can open document such as powerpoint, word and excel without need to use third party apps
with android, i can view webpage that has flash content since android support flash content view.
with android i can share everything with a single click such as share photo to Intagram, Facebook and email.
and since android own by Google, many Google feature has been preinstalled in the system such as Gmail, Google book, Google search, Google chrome and Google maps/earth.
so this kind of openness has made me to change from IOS to android.

(their fight bring good for us since both will come out with better product to win us)

but yet, despite of the comparison, the choice of system or phone still depend on the usage.
my friend that want to buy a new phone usually ask me which one is better.
they often ask me, which one better between Iphone (refer to IOS) and Samsung (refer to Android).
and my answer is simple by asking back, what do they need the phone for.
is it for work and internet usage or for gaming and application.
if they need the phone for work and internet usage, i will recommend them Android because off the openness and flash support.
but if they need it for games and application, i will recommend them to go for IOS, and believe me, IOS better in graphic (game) and apps.
so, i don't know how long i will stick with this Samsung S4 since i buy it because of the system and larger screen.
if Apple release next Iphone with larger screen and less close system, maybe i will consider to switch back.
or maybe i will consider the symbian system by nokia or windows system.

p/s : Apple, please release your new Iphone next year cause i don't have more money to switch right now.hehehe

new day, new month and new course - MIS750

    assalamualaikum.
yeah. this is a new blog specially created for this month subject (part of project though)
hehehe... so, April passed and May come.
this month, me as MBA student will learn a new subject which called Management Information
    System or MIS in short.
this subject seems quite similar to previous Information system (IS) that i have been taking during my diploma's but maybe this time, it will cover more on the managerial/management side.
the lecturer that will lecture us is Associate Professor Dr Norzaidi Haji Mohd Daud.
such  a funny person that keep making us laughing and smiling all the day but yet still give us good information and knowledge.

this lecturer remind me to one of my favorite lecturer back then at UiTM Melaka, DR fahmi. so funny and close to the students.
ok done with lecturer, or else people will think that im try to "kipas" ing the lecturer.

(1st class, and yes, that's our lecturer)

so, this new course more on the usage of information system into business, but in the manager perspective.
since nowadays, most of the businesses integrated with any kind of system, software or database, so this kind of knowledge seems to be important for me in order to understand about how, who, why and what system to be use for the management or business to prosper.

during my degree internship at SIMA, which is one of standard chartered bank IT hub(since this was the only working experience that i ever had),
there were lots of system and software that we been used to process the transaction or task given.
during that time, i have been attached in Loan Processing Unit Malaysia and Taiwan unit where my task was to process the loan or loan rollover from big company such as OSK investment bank and Permodalan Nasional berhad which cost millions of Ringgit.
so the thing was, we really need a good system and software in order to process this million Ringgit transaction smoothly with minimum mistake.

(my place of internship back then during degree)

several of the system that been used back then is ACBS for Malaysia and Hogan for Taiwan and Vietnam.
its complicated to explain bout the system, so i will explain bout it in my individual assignment later.
the thing is, although the system was good back then , but the problem occurred due to the hardware failure.
to tell u, i don't know why such a big international company use such a outdated hardware.
the computer using Intel Pentium 4 as the processor, the "ball/roller" mouse and CRT screen.
its okay with the mouse and screen, but the processor was a little bit slow for such a heavy and complicated system and software thus make the systems to hang and jammed all the time.
sometimes we need to restart the PC in order to make the system operate again thus consume more time.

now, when i continuing my Master,
i still using some system such as UiTM portal, websites, Mail and so on in order to make my study become easier.
so this explain that, in life nowadays despite it is working life, study life or even social life,
information system or information technology seems to be part of us.
its like prerequisite to have better and smooth life.
so, the knowledge bout the IT or IS is also important for us to make sure that we at par or parallel with this fast changing technology world.

p/s : sory for bad english/ broken english. =)
